About Laura Stafford-Killian

I am a qualified and BABCP-accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) with almost 20 years of experience working across mental health and social care services in Ireland, the UK, and Australia.
I completed my Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy at the prestigious Oxford Cognitive Therapy Centre (OCTC), part of the University of Oxford, which is widely recognised for its excellence in CBT training.
I am passionate about helping people make meaningful and lasting changes to their wellbeing through compassionate, evidence-based therapy. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to each individual's unique experiences, challenges, and goals.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is considered the gold-standard psychological treatment for many common mental health difficulties, including anxiety, depression, stress, panic, low self-esteem, and trauma-related difficulties. CBT works by helping people understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, physical sensations, and behaviours, and by developing practical strategies to break unhelpful patterns and create positive change.
I believe that effective therapy should be both evidence-based and individualised, providing a supportive space where clients can develop the skills and confidence needed to overcome difficulties and improve their quality of life.
